Monday Message 8/18/25

Happy Monday and welcome to the SHINE! Above you will see the message for the week, an excerpt from my children’s book SHINE that is really for adults. Just like all good children’s books.😉 To choose this message I closed my eyes and picked a random page, and this is what came up. The message above goes with the alien Baby FUZZ-E, pictured here…

So let’s get to it…

I‘m gonna go out on a limb here and say that most of the world’s problems could be fixed if we all just embraced our own inner shine. Honestly, it’s the only real thing that we own. Your shine is the one thing that nobody can take from you. You can hide it, dull it down, ignore it, or do any number of crazy things to keep it in a dark corner and out of sight. But it’s not going anywhere, no matter how small you make it. It’s eternal. Your shine is YOU, and expressing that shine is the way to the freedom you want. I mean, don’t get me wrong… I look around at the clowns parading their power grabs and false bravados and think to myself “well, Peyton, maybe not EVERYBODY has a shine…”. But in my heart I know we all do, even the clowns. They just have no clue where theirs is or how to find it.

In summation, this message is all about letting your beautiful, colorful freak flag fly with abandon. I mean, look at Baby FUZZ-E… eyes closed, snaggle tooth hanging in the breeze, limbs moving to a beat she feels deep in her bones… she knows how to share her shine and when she does, we ALL feel the joy.

So go dance. Sing big. Shake your alien toosh to a groove you feel deep in your bones. The quickest way out of just about any dark corner is to shine YOUR light and make joy your home. Now go find YOUR shine.💜
