Message of the Week
Good Morning, friends! Happy Tuesday. And boy… has there been a LOT going on, both in my life and in the world. I hope this finds you rested, centered, and ready for the week. For today’s message, I drew two cards before my meditation (like I always do), meditated, then randomly chose a page from my book SHINE. They all pointed to the same overarching theme… get out of your head and into your heart. Let me explain.
I’m including pics of the two cards I drew below, from the deck “The Starseed Oracle” by Rebecca Campbell and Danielle Noel. Most of the cards in this deck are of the “rainbows and ribbons” variety. Meaning, they have soft and uplifting messages. I have only drawn the card on the left once before, and have never drawn the card on the right.
I should preface this by saying that yesterday I was really sitting in the shit stew of my own head, trying to figure out if the tangerine figurine was still “with us” and lamenting over what our country (and the world, for that matter) has become. It was a certain kind of funk, for sure. Here’s what I’m taking from these cards, and the message from SHINE. I hope you find it useful, too.
Card #1: Perspective. We are but a blip in the overall picture of this vast, beautiful universe. Zoom out. Can you see that there is something bigger at play? Can you allow yourself to see the ten thousand foot view rather than a myopic snapshot from the rabbit hole of doom?
Card #2: The Great Severing. Basically this card is calling out what’s happening around us… a descent into fear, anger, and division. The invitation here is to soften into love, the great uniter. Start first with yourself, then send it out.
Message from SHINE:
Your shine’s always there, deep down in your soul,
Where the angels all know you by name,
Right next to your heart, by your tummy bowl!
(And pretty far south from your brain)
Your shine, the divine force of love within you, is nowhere near your head. It is eternal, it connects you to the angels and the stars and all that is good in this world and beyond, and it does not reside between your ears. “It’s pretty far south from your brain”. For me, my shine is in my heart. For Baby Sprout (the alien who delivers this message), it’s in his belly.
When I was on orange death watch conspiracy theory mode yesterday, I was most definitely NOT tuned into my heart. At all. And as a result, I was sad. Lethargic. Exhausted. Overwhelmed. Perhaps I needed to wallow in this space for a bit. It certainly gave me some great contrast to the heart centered place to which I have returned today. But, just like the cards and SHINE suggest, I am much better off considering the bigger picture, getting out of my head, and dropping into my heart. THAT is where God lives. THAT is where true change can occur. And honestly, it’s a much nicer place to be. I don’t want to be the kind of person who celebrates the suffering and downfall of another human, no matter how much they may or may not “deserve” it. I want to be, and I AM, the kind of person who builds a better world. One creation at a time.

You may also notice that this email is coming from me and not Substack. I have been playing around with the idea of bringing my messages back to my own website rather than Substack, and I am still sitting with that idea.
